TGIF: Thank Goodness I’m Food Truckin’ – Friday’s Food Truck Events
If you are reading this, you are missing out on a unique event. A weekday, morning breakfast rodeo. Wicked Biscuit and Belgian Waffology are the trucks and all are delicious in my book. The Location is the Downtown Durham BB&T location at 505 S. Duke Street. The event is on until 10 am today. Typically, Caffe Bellezza is here, but on vacation.
Food Trucks announced: Chirba Chirba, Only Burger, The Humble Pig, Liv’s Food Truck, Snowie’s Shaved Ice and Fahsyrah Lemonade.
Location: 800 Park Offices / Research Triangle Park
Cary Christian School Family Festival
Located at: 1330 Old Apex Road, Cary
This family-friendly event will have a bounce house, games, activities, as well as an Alumni versus Varsity soccer match. The trucks in attendance are Tailgater Toby, Only Burger, Chirba Chirba, and The Parlour (Pie Pushers is not listed on the event’s site, but they mentioned they will be there). The event was pre sold online, however, tickets can be bought onsite. The online price was $10 for the whole family for all events (food trucks’ food not included in $10). If you need more information, see the event site. The event starts at 5pm.
Hope Community Church: Single Adult Worship Night
Located at: 821 Buck Jones, Raleigh
Hope Community Church is having an event for Single Adults to mingle and worship event. The food trucks are there at 6pm and service starts at 7pm. I saw that American Meltdown will be there, but Hope mentioned trucks. Also, if you are single parent, there was a mention of prearranged childcare. Check out details on their blog.
Amberly Residents: Food Truck Fridays
I saw another food truck reference Amberly awhile back and it looks like residence in the Amberly development can enjoy food trucks in their Resident’s Center parking lot. This week it looks like Barone Meatball will be there. It looks a summer event.
Durham Museum Life and Science: Science at Sunset
The Durham museum has special evening hours from 5-8pm where Mac-UR-Roni will be serving up it’s cheesy pasta goodness. The event is $5 for members and $8 for non-members and only the outside parts of the museum are open. For more details, check the event’s page.

If you are planning to go to Sunday’s event, August 10th from 4 to 9 pm – be sure to bring canned goods for the Durham Rescue Mission and Food Bank. Thanks in advance.
