This weekend it’s Hopscotch 2014, so it’s going to get hopping here in the City of Oaks! Why not get mobile in your cuisine this weekend, too!
Oval Park Durham
It’s First Thursday, which means a rodeo in Oval Park Durham. Chirba Chirba was the only I found. If you have been discourage to try them at the larger rodeos, my recommendation would be try this one out.
Another Breakfast Rodeo!
Today is the first and I hope for many more to come to the Research Triangle Park. All three of the Downtown Durham Breakfast Rodeo trucks (Wicked Biscuit, Belgian Waffology, and Caffe Bellezza) will be here. In addition, Carrboro Coffee will be doing a live roasting demonstration. The Rodeo location is 800 Park Offices (On NC 54 between T.W. Alexander and Davis Drive). It starts at 7:30 AM.
Looks like Pie Pushers will be at Lincoln Theatre all Hopscotch weekend. There are other events going on this weekend, which will be released during each day’s post.
When were apartments this cool?
For awhile I’ve noticed food trucks have been parking at Manor 6, Tribute, and the newly open 605 West. But it seems to have exploded recently to many other neighborhoods. Tonight I saw scheduled:
American Meltdown is at Estates at Wake Forest
Manna is at The Ashborough
I wish apartment living was this cool when I lived at one.
Make Plans For…
Some events to think about this weekend…
Hopscotch is the big event this weekend event. While the music is the headliner, there are many other events coinciding with the event. For instance, Babes in Boyland and Raleigh Little Theater’s Hopscotch Party are events around the Hopscotch event. I also saw Stuft, American Meltdown, and Not Just Icing will be at the Big Lebowski’s Dude Abides Party at North Carolina Museum of Art. Not Just Icing will also be at an earlier event, the 2014 Capital Area Rally for Recovery.
For those that like to do Triad events, the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro has a food truck rodeo as a first Friday event.
