I don’t claim this is an all-inclusive list, but I will try to update as I find out (or feel free to post a comment below). Here are some of the municipalities that are having food trucks involved in their festivities. I also included local breweries on the list.
Parades/Tree Lightings/Holiday Fest
Knightdale: Knightdale Tree lighting, Friday December 5th: Iced Cupcakes, Waffle Bird, and LadyBugs Treats. Lighting events starts at 6pm and held at Knightdale Station Amphitheater (810 North First Avenue, Knightdale)
Knightdale: Knightdale Parade, Saturday December 6th: Stuft, Barone Meatball, MaMa Duke’s, D’Burritos, and Waffle Bird. Food trucks will be parked on the parade route on First Avenue in Knightdale. Parade starts at 2pm.
Cary: Heart of the Holidays Celebration, Saturday December 6th: Gussy’s Greek Truck (10 to 4pm). Events will be ongoing with a Gingerbread House competition on display. At 6pm, the Town of Cary will light their tree. More details.
Durham: Durham Holiday Fest moved to Durham Armory (was at Rock Quarry Park) due to the weather. Mac-UR-Roni will be there. Event will be from 1-5pm. More details.
Jamestown Parade, Sunday December 7th: Bo’s Kitchen will be there (last Triad spot for 2014). Parade is from 2 to 4pm.
Manna is serving up at New Hope Valley Railroad during their Christmas/Santa trains on December 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th. Tickets
Hunt Street/Vega Art Market is having a Holiday Market during their Saturday market on December 13th. The market is usually a hot spot for some awesome trucks like CJ’s Street Food, Pie Pushers, Chirba Chirba, Porchetta, Caffe Bellezza, Soom Soom Pita Pockets, Foster’s on The Fly, and Baugettabouit. Keep an eye out Saturday morning for confirmation.
Downtown Cary Food & Flea Market, Sunday, December 14th with Sarge’s Chef and Not Just Icing 12-4pm
Retail Truck Holiday Market at Draft Line in Fuquay-Varina. Trucks listed: Bikini Bus, The Pop Up Shop, Swag Boutique, Park Lane Jewelry, Style Dot Boutique, Perfect Image Salon, Nautigulls Soap and Tell Me Everything. December 20th 3-6pm
First Night in Downtown Raleigh will have AmigoSan, BulKogi, Mac-UR-Roni, and more to name. Why end 2014 with some food truck food and kick off 2015 with food truck food.
Food Truck location events
Iced Cupcakes will hold a Holiday Fair on December 6th at their North Raleigh location. For more details on vendors and their offerings, check out the event Facebook page. The shop location is 5911 Poyner Village Parkway.
Santa will visit Sweet Traditions shop on Saturday, December 13th from 1 to 3pm.
Brewery Holiday Parties
December 12th and 13th (Friday and Saturday): Deep River will raise funds for Toys For Tots. On Friday, Chirba Chirba and CJ’s Street Food will be there. On Saturday, Baguettaboutit will be there.
December 19th (Friday): King’s Authentic Philly with Three Click Go, who I thought was really good for Gizmo’s Halloween Party.
